You are looking at a fine patchwork quilt made by an experienced seamstress/quilter. The fabrics appear to be of the same thickness, similar or the same thread count. There is slight fading on some of the rust color. It isn't real noticeable...The quilting is consistent, and measures to be about 11 - 12 per inch. The squares are quilted with edging fashion, meaning the middle of each square is quilted by the edge in a square shape.
Each larger square is quilted in a square fashion as well. The outer edge has a feathering design in the quilting. The entire quilt has dense, quality quilting approximately every 1. The batting is a thinner weight that could be used for summer, or the quilt could be used with additional blankets for colder weather. Most of the seams are spot-on, but when they are not, they are very close.
I found no rips or tears in this beautiful piece of art. The binding is sewn on by machine on the front side, with tiny slip stitches attaching it to the back. Wow, what a gorgeous patchwork quilt!
