This is a very visually appealing antique log cabin quilt. The quilt is hand pieced and hand quilted and sewn at 4-5 stitches per inch. The fabrics are early 1900's, perhaps some late 1800's and made of many plaids and stripes and solids in a great combination of colors. The backing is a brown-green plaid that is in great condition. The binding is the backing turned forward on the front of the quilt and there is no wear on the binding. The quilt has medium to thick weight raw cotton batting - you can see it in some of the pictures of the split seams. There are approximately 4 small split seams, all the same fabric. There is one stain (pictured). The quilt measures 70" by 84" and has been hand washed.
